The Lynching of Elizabeth Taylor
The Press of the Territorian
Santa Fe, NM
assumed 1966 publication
Number 11 of a Series of Western Americana
40 page historical record of the lynching of this particular Elizabeth Taylor and her brother, Thomas Jones, in 1885. The west was wild and untamed as were the people who "claimed" it. Brutal is a more likely description. It's useful to remember that "lynching" came from a judge. Judge Lynch. Justice at the end of a rope is not justice at all.
